Clearfield County residents affected by flooding not eligible for federal help
CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County residents impacted by Friday’s flooding are not eligible for public or individual monetary assistance from the federal government, officials said Monday.
Officials said that although residents didn’t qualify for help from the federal government, businesses, residents and in some cases renters, may be eligible for low interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The assessment was performed over the weekend by the Clearfield County Department of Emergency Services and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
The areas included Coalport, Irvona and Beccaria Township.
Officials are still working to determine the monetary damage of the affected areas.
