Car crash causes gas leak at Lebanon County McDonald's
LEBANON, Pa -- A car crash at a McDonald's in Lebanon County caused a natural gas leak.
The incident occurred at the McDonald's located at 1725 Quentin Road in Cornwall Township.
Police state the the crash involved 3 vehicles, and the gas leak occurred when a car struck the restaurant building. As a precautionary measure, police state that they evacuated the nearby shopping center and closed Route 72 in both directions. The evacuation is no longer in effect and the road is re-opened.
According to police, UGI was called to the scene, and have shut off both the gas and the power to the building as a precaution.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
