'Me Before You' sparks controversy over main character with disability
HARRISBURG, Pa. —
There is an international movement to discredit an idea from the movie "Me Before You," which is now in theaters.
The film is about a man with a disability who wants to end his life.
Those against the movie, which is based on a bestselling novel, don't agree with a person with a disability being better off ending their life.
Monday people gathered at the Regal Cinemas in Harrisburg to speak out in protest.
The director of "Me Before You" said during a recent interview there is a fundamental misunderstanding of what the message is.
