Women at Work | Local woman follows passion, starts dog grooming business
A local woman left her long-time career to start her life-long dream of working with animals, and now she owns a mobile grooming salon called “Fluff Your Pup.”
From the bath to the bow, owner Sandra Krum does it all, just feet away from your doorstep.
"I actually only started grooming about four years ago. I had been working for the Hershey company. I was with Hershey company for over 25 years,” says Sandra Krum, owner of Fluff Your Pup
As a dedicated employee, Sandra put her true passion on the back burner.
"It's something that has always been there. As a kid growing up my dream was to be a veterinarian,” she says.
A pivotal moment in Sandra's life that still makes her emotional when a school counselor told her she would never make it.
"She discouraged me a lot, but the love for animals it just never stopped," she says.
Sandra got her grooming license and opened up her business.
She even traveled to meet the famous "dog whisperer" Cesar Millan.
Today, she shares the same inspiring advice her mentor once gave her.
"Find a goal. Take small steps to get to your goal," she says.
